Frequently Asked Question
Massage
What do I wear?
  • We ask that you dress down to your comfort level for the massage. You will be completely covered the entire massage. The massage therapist will only uncover the area that they are working on at the time.

Are the massages full body?
  • Unless stated otherwise, our massages cover the full body from head to toe.

Can I request certain areas not to be massaged?
  • Yes of course! We want you to be completely comfortable during your massage. Before each session, the massage therapist will ask if there are areas that you prefer to be left untouched. They will also ask if there are certain areas you would like for them to focus on as well.

What if I don't like the pressure of the massage?
  • Please feel free to let the therapist know at any time if you do not like the pressure of the massage. We want this experience to be very relaxing and we will gladly change the pressure to your liking.

Waxing
HOW SOON AFTER MY WAX CAN I HAVE SEX?
  • Because your skin will be slightly tender and after your wax, it's best to wait 24 hours. It's also important to avoid because the spread of bacteria can cause unsightly breakouts.

WHAT WILL MY SKIN LOOK LIKE/FEEL LIKE IMMEDIATELY AFTER MY WAX?
  • Your skin may be pink and have small bumps. This is very normal and will subside within 30 minutes to 24 hours. The bumps are the inflamed follicles and will return to normal. Your skin may feel warm or slightly tender to the touch. This also will subside within 30 minutes to 24 hours. Applying a cooling gel, cool compress, and avoiding heat will help speed up this process. It is also normal to have some short/stray hairs after your wax. We do our best to remove all unwanted hair, but because hair grows in different stages, some hairs may have been too short for the wax to remove. We suggest leaving those to grow so they can be removed at your next treatment.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I WAX?
  • For best results, you should wax every 3 - 5 weeks. Don't shave between waxes, as this disrupts the process. If you wax regularly, you will notice the hair growth will be less, the hair will be finer and more sparse, and the waxing process itself becomes much more comfortable.

I NORMALLY SHAVE. HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT TO GET MY FIRST WAX?
  • At least two weeks. This will ensure that the hair is long enough for the wax to remove the hair.

DOES IT MATTER WHAT KIND OF SKIN CARE PRODUCTS I USE?
  •  If you have taken Accutane in the past you must have stopped using it at least 3 months prior. Waxing cannot be performed while you are using Retin A or any prescription retinoid/vitamin A product. You must stop using these products at least 5 days before your wax. Many prescription acne products contain this so please check with your doctor first.

CAN I EXERCISE RIGHT AFTER MY WAX?
  • Avoid the gym, hot yoga, outdoor activities, etc. that will cause excessive perspiration for 24 hours.

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT WAXING
  • No tanning 24 hours before or after your wax.
  • No steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs or hot showers for 24 hours after your wax.
  • Exfoliating with a loofah 24 hours before and after, and then on a regular basis, can prevent ingrown hairs.

Spray Tanning
How should I prep before my appointment?
  • We recommend that you shave, exfoliate, and wear loose fitting clothing to your appointment, or bring loose fitting clothing to change into.  Do not apply makeup, lotions, or creams on the skin.

What should I do after my appointment?
  • Leave the solution on the skin for 8 hours for maximum results. Shower lightly, towel dry, and apply a lot of moisturizer.

Can I shower before the 8 hours?
  • If you would like the tan to be lighter, then yes you may shower before the 8 hour period. This may shorten the length of the tan.

How long do the spray tans last?
  • With proper care, your tan will last 5-10 days.

Scheduling Appointments
How far in advance should I schedule an appointment?
  • If you want to schedule multiple services with specific providers, we ask that you schedule at least a week in advance. This will allow us to schedule your appointments during the times you requested. If you want to schedule only one appointment, we usually can schedule you the next day or that day if we have openings.

If I want a specific provider, should I request them when I am making my appointment?

  • Yes! If you do not request a provider, we will assume that you do not prefer who your provider is and we will schedule you with whomever is available at your requested day and time.

Cancelling Appointments
Is there a cancellation fee?
  • Yes we do charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the scheduled service's cost. We do ask that you cancel 24 hours in advance. If not cancelled within 24 hours, it is not an emergency, or a no-show, the cancellation fee will be charged.
